Muscle ExplosionI’m proud to say that I survived the first 7 days of the 28 day Muscle Explosion Challenge. So far it’s been a great experience. Oddly enough, the first week of the 28 days to maximum mass, actually focused on weight loss. I am certain that I dropped a few pounds of body fat in the past week and I will share those results with you tomorrow. I was very happy that today was a day of rest with no workouts. My hamstrings are still sore from Friday’s workout.

The week finished off today with a fruit detox. All day long I was eating fruit bowls containing, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, plums, and apples. I also snacked on cherries. I actually felt satisfied in terms of hunger today. The only problem is that by the end of the day I really wanted something solid to chew on. I ended up chewing on a bunch of gum for a couple hours before bed.

Summary Of The Muscle Explosion Challenge Week 1…

As I mentioned week 1 focused on fat loss, which is a bit ironic for a muscle building program. Nick calls this the sling shot effect where you go from restricting calories for a short period of time and then go on a feeding frenzy. I’m really intrigued to see how my body reacts to this.

The first 2 days of the Muscle Explosion Challenge were all about ‘metabolic acceleration‘. I performed interval training type workouts where I alternated between a resistance exercise and a cardiovascular exercise. I chose skipping for cardio out of convenience.

I also finished off the workouts with 5 minutes of what Nick calls a ‘core combo’. This was great for the abs, lower back, and rotator cuff. I loved this portion of the workout. Both days were low carb and low calorie days.

Day 3 was a day off of the weights and I got to consume some carbs, but still kept the calories low.

Day 4 and 5 were absolutely awesome. This phase is called ’tissue remodeling’. The exercises focused on partial reps for a high number of reps, plus full range movements for high reps. No words can describe how awesome these workouts are, and I have a difficult time even describing what it was like.

All I can say is that it was like the flood gates opened up in my blood vessels are were rapidly supplying my muscles with the blood that is required to build and repair. The sensation was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had during a workout.

Day 6 included the ‘core combo’ and an interval cardio session. It was also an all protein day. I actually loved this day.

Day 7 was a day of rest and an all fruit day. This day definitely flushed out my system.

Now onto the good stuff. Time to fuel my body and pack on the muscle!

So far I am finding Muscle Explosion to be an entire new education on bodybuilding. It certainly lives up the the unconventional methods that I’ve grown accustomed to with Nick Nilsson’s many other bodybuilding and fat loss programs.

Muscle Explosion definitely gets my endorsement for the simple fact that you are guaranteed to learn several new tips and tricks to add to your fat loss and muscle building arsenal. Muscle Explosion is a totally unique program. You won’t find these strategies in other muscle building books out there.

Not to mention that Nick, “The bodybuilding mad scientist’ has spent a lot of time experimenting with the exact duration that makes each phase of the program the most potent mass building stimulus possible.

At this moment I am recommending Muscle Explosion based purely on the content and uniqueness of the program. I can also vouch for the effectiveness of the fat burning phase in the first week. By the end of the 28 I am sure that my results will speak better than any written endorsement that I could give.

I look forward to documenting my progress during week 2 of the Muscle Explosion program and sharing my experience with you. Let me know if you have any questions.

I’ll be posting my measurements after 1 week on the program tomorrow. Until then…

Have a 6 Pack Abs-solutely awesome day!
